i want to know what the best audio system to put in this car(73 pointaic) trunk is really big so i wanted to asked wish is better 2 15 kickers L7 or 4 12 kickers and what type of stuff should i get like cap and so on....this is my show car

My cd player has been working fine for 5 months?
but i havent had 6 x 9s on in the other day i tried hooking up 6 x 9s in i have a system in two door speakers in they worked since i got the cd player brand new then my 6 x 9 wires rubbed together and made a buzzing sound out of the subwoofers now none of the speakers work or the amp doesnt even turn on but my cd player works fine wat could this be its a pioneer deh-4900ib does it have a protection mode or anything like that

I%26#039;m trying to install some door speakers and some rear 5x7%26#039;s in my 1999 ford escort se. i have a hatchback and the rear speakers are hidden, i just dont know how to get to them. also im having trouble removing the front door panels. its a weird setup. anyone know how to do these things or know of any websites that can help?

there is no real 1000 watt 2 channel amp. you are likely reffereing to a peak rating that has no real use. to answer the question i will say this, yes the 6x9%26#039;s will share the power the amp puts out, HOWEVER hooking 2 speakers to one channel changes the load, and the amp will put out 2X or 1/2x the rated power depending on how you wire the speakers.

Check Disc indicates a failure to read the CD. There are other error messages for mostly mechanical problems. You can try a laser cleaning CD, but they rarely have any affect.

Where can i find a graphic display for display purpose only?
ive had a alpine 11 band graphic equalizer for many years now and love it just as much as the first day i bought it, it has the coolest sound levels display that sort of dance with the music...my question is this, id like to get some sort of display for my subwoofer enclosure, its pretty big housing a jl 12%26quot; w7, a jl 10%26quot; w7, 2 10%26quot; round kicker solo barics, and the amps and capacitors are all on display there as well....i thought it would be pretty cool to have a sound level display mounted with the rest of the equipment , as i said before, to dance with the music....does anyone know where i can find such an item, or any ideas would be appriciated....thanks for the help.........

If there are 2 DVC 4ohm the final load is 4 ohm and you need a amp that is 500 @ 4ohms.
so YES 500 to push both subs, but it is critical that you get the right impedance or load. hit me up if you need help with determining that.

go for a high current amp. look in the old school items from Phoenix gold ms series or zero point. maybe a ppi art series.

The stereo is installed into the dashboard. Up until now, I%26#039;ve never had trouble playing burned CD%26#039;s (owned the car for 3+ years). Sometimes it will play the first song and then stop, displaying %26quot;disc error%26quot;.

Bypassing the dvd saftey for the alpine iva-d310?
well i recently purchased a headunit for my car which is a motor flip screen and im trying to bypass the video saftey switch. i bought a 7ptr alpine bypasser and i followed all the instructions on hook ups/ and trigger programming, and the video comes out. but when i turn off the car and then back on the car the bypass turns off and i get no video. and the only way i can get it back is by removing the bypasser from ground and then grounding it again.
any help would be appreciated

05 Dodge Neon SXT/Mopar Kicker Sub?
I have an 05 Neon SXT and want to get the Mopar Kicker Sub (that%26#039;s form fit to the trunk panel). There%26#039;s one listed on EBAY that shows it as a %26quot;plug and play%26quot; device. I%26#039;ve looked and looked and cannot locate a plug in my trunk space. I%26#039;d go with Sony Xplodes. I had some fitment issues with my 92 Accord with some other speakers (ones which, on the package, falsely claimed they%26#039;d fit my car...they were Rockford Fosgates), but the Sonys fit just fine. They%26#039;re very shallow...shallower than my stock speakers were, in fact, so you shouldn%26#039;t have many issues with having to fit them into a shallow space.
They%26#039;re also relatively inexpensive, and have good sound quality.
Just get them in the same size as your car%26#039;s original speakers, and you won%26#039;t have any problems installing them. Depth should be the ONLY issue with fitting new speakers of the same size (width) as stock, so the shallower they are, the more likely they are to fit.
Oh, and you don%26#039;t need to worry about wiring harnesses for speakers. If you need to have a harness on them, just cut the harness off the old speakers and solder the connections onto the new ones. Otherwise, you can connect them pretty much any way you like. It%26#039;s just (usually) two wires.)

I have a jl 500/1 amp and I%26#039;m thinking about upgrading to 2 10%26quot; kicker l7s. I was wondering if the amp would be powerful enough to make them bump right. Also I was wondering how i should wire them. I figure running them straight at 2 or 4 ohms and use bother outputs would probably would best. Let me know.

an L7 is 750 rms you could probly get away with one 500/1 to on L7 becuse i feel the 500/1 is underrated and closer to 650 700rms . but runing one 500/1 to two L7%26#039;s is way to underpowered. with two L7%26#039;s you will probley have about 1500rms so eather go with two 500/1 or you could get a 1000/1.

Kicker CVRs W zx750.1 amp cut out???
They are both brand new and I can only put the amps gain at about 60% until they cut out on certain songs. The amp is 750rms and the subs are 2ohm 400rms a piece. Whats the problem??

You should check your stereo settings. If your bass control is up too far then your amp will see it as an already amplified system and cut out to prevent damage. That%26#039;s the #1 issue with mine. I bought the same setup as a %26quot;Living Loud%26quot; package: 2 cvr 12%26#039; and the 750 watt amp. I can turn the bass control to about 25% on the stereo and turn the gain all the way up on the amp. If it came with a dash mounted bass control knob you should use it for sure!

I do know it%26#039;s a four channel, but what I don%26#039;t know are the watts and if it would be smart to get rid of my old on for this one so if anyone can help me out with this I would appreciate it so much!

Should the power and the ground wire have all exposed wire shoved into the slot where you screw it down?
Should the power and the ground have all exposed wire shoved into the slot where it gets screwed down? or is it getting enough power with even half of it screwed down because its touching some of the metal? hopefully you understand what im trying to say.

It is probably getting enough power, but I would screw it the rest of the way down so it doesn%26#039;t fall off.
