im tinking of getin a Alpine MRP-F242 4 channel 300 Watts amp. but im not sure if it would be able to power my Infinity kappa 6 by 9 (330w) and my other Rockford Fosgate Power T152C 5.25%26quot;(60w RMS 120w Peak )???.i spent quite alot on my ice. i got my Alpine CDA-9812RB head unit witch kicks out 50w, comin in 3 days and my Rockford Fosgate PL2-112 12%26quot; sub comin few dayes after. i want it to sound the best it can. so if u think a diffrent amp would make it better write back. also plz Give me a idear on what amp i should be looking for. if the one i want is nt the one i need... cheers
Car problems i need a exbert?
the MRP-F242 puts out 40w RMS power each channel. for your infinity %26amp; RF 5.25, although it handles 60w RMS. it actually means it would handle 60w rms without burning the speaker. typically at that level, the distrotion level will be so high that it would sound really bad already. so the alpine amp is adequate in my opinion.
you haven%26#039;t mentioned how you gonna power the 12%26quot; sub tho. i am assuming you are using the alpine amp to power the 4 speakers.

You don%26#039;t need an exbert (EXPERT)...you need a dictionary.

Channel amp wattage???????
with a 1000W 2 channel amp, with one channel powering a sub with 500W and the other channel powering 6x9%26#039;s, does each 6x9 speaker recieve 500W each or 250W each? (short answers please) thanks
Channel amp wattage???????
250 each -- short enough?
Channel amp wattage???????
there is no real 1000 watt 2 channel amp. you are likely reffereing to a peak rating that has no real use. to answer the question i will say this, yes the 6x9%26#039;s will share the power the amp puts out, HOWEVER hooking 2 speakers to one channel changes the load, and the amp will put out 2X or 1/2x the rated power depending on how you wire the speakers.
i think your asking only a part of the question, i%26#039;d be glad to help further with all the info.

I am installing a kenwood stereo in an 89 nissan pick up. IWhat makes speakers cut out?
WHen I first connected it, they were all working and then it stopped... It should not come on until the Ground wire is connected and it is coming on.

You have a loose wire or ground.

Has anyone had trouble with "Check Disk" on the CD Changer on a 2003 Chevy Taho Z71? Thanks in advance.
Check Disc indicates a failure to read the CD. There are other error messages for mostly mechanical problems. You can try a laser cleaning CD, but they rarely have any affect.
What is wrong with my car stereo?
Well I have a new aftermarket cd player in my car. Everything was working fine until yesterday. There is no noise but i try putting the volume 100% and nothing. i tried checking the cables in the back but everything seems fine. i know its not the speakers because they are brand new and connected. i dont think its the stereo, what can i do?
What is wrong with my car stereo?
You might have blown a fuse you need to check your fuse box.
What is wrong with my car stereo?
from what i understand you have power to the radio but no sound right? New speakers? If so make 100% sure that there are no speaker wires touching both at the speakers or behind the radio. If speaker wires touch it will throw the radio in protect mode and shut down all output to all speakers

If my battery is 13.8 volts and my amplifier gives 2000 watts rms at 14.4 volts how much watts am i getting?
if my battery is 13.8 volts and my amplifier gives 2000 watts rms at 14.4 volts how much watts am i getting?
also can i have some advise on upgrading my power supply in my car please (current a 70 amp alt)
If my battery is 13.8 volts and my amplifier gives 2000 watts rms at 14.4 volts how much watts am i getting?
If the car is not running you will 13.8 Volts your watts will be around 1916.66666. Running the motor at 1500 RPMs you will have about 14.5 out put from the alternator. Otherwise your battery would not recharge. You would end up with a dead battery.

to add to the last guy, to hear a volume change you need to increase your power by 33% (1db) so the difference is not detectable. if you double power you get a 3db gain, and %26quot;twice as loud%26quot; is a difference of 10db.
hope that helps.
